Don't Forget

Rock the Vote Today!

Election Update!
19:22 hours. Just checking the local election headlines and read this: "Obama's Ohio victory denied McCain particularly precious territory. No Republican has ever won the presidency without the state."

Oh, friends, the time is a coming . . .

Election Update!
20:04 hours. NBC HAS DECLARED OBAMA THE WINNER!
That is what I am talking about people, that is what we have been waiting for, that is why my entire family is clapping like fools in the living room upstairs!

We are so lucky to be witnessing this, so priviledged to bear witness to history, so grateful that change is on the way. For you, for me, for us all.

Here's a little video to celebrate, play it LOUD! And my family? We are having ice cream to celebrate!

What did you do to celebrate? Handstands? Cartwheels? High Fives?

We are cheering, and calling everyone we know, and cheering some more. And crying. Oh, and cheering some more.

Did I mention we were cheering?

OMG--words can't touch this moment! I'm beyond thrilled. Sadly, my husband is out of town most of this week and we didn't get to watch it together, so I celebrated by texting everyone I know with a "YES WE DID!"

Thanks for the music.

Dad & I are, of course, ecstatic. And as soon as we are totally well, I am finally gonna crack that champagne that has been on ice for over a year!

On Monday, I was threatening to crack it on my own head if he lost.

And it was so hard to watch. I almost had to pinch myself when he won.

Loved the speech.
Loved.
It.

A President who is a statesman!

I cried. Tears streamed down my cheeks. How can you express so much joy and relief.

I am so excited that I live outside of DC, I am definitely going to the inauguration even if I have to walk.
