Do They Make a Cream for That?

Every night before I go to bed, I do the same few things. I brush my teeth, floss (because I am old now), rinse, brush my hair and make sure there are no out of place chin hairs.

It's a dreadful routine, but it's mine. Without it, I would be a gingivitis toting, dreadlocks wearing, bearded woman - and nobody wants to see that.

So the other night, while I leaned in as close as I could get to my bathroom mirror (because I don't have one of those fancy schmancy extendo-mirrors with the ultra-magnified side like my mom does), I noticed something not quite right with my eyebrow. Usually I can go a few weeks in between extreme plucking without things going awry, but clearly - something was up.

And it was up in the form of a gray eyebrow.

What? I asked myself as I examined the freaky hair in the mirror, pulling on it with the tweezers to make sure it just wasn't a rogue light-colored eyebrow reflecting off the vanity lights above. Sho 'nuff. It was silver, just like those occasional ones that I pull out from my bangs. And it wasn't just it's color that truly freaked me out, it was its texture and its unruliness.

If crazy silver eyebrows are what I have to look forward to as I age, than I want nothing to do with it!

Another beauty-related post coming soon!

Unruly silver eyebrows! I am so not ready for that. I didn't even think about your eyebrows going gray.

Hahaha! Unruly silver eyebrows remind me of those old guys with the handlebar-esque eyebrows. Eyebrows should never look like handlebars, no matter the color. LOL.

They make hair dye for your eyebrows and other parts that we wont mention in this post...really, I saw it.

I am only 35!!!! It had better not come to needing dye . . . I'm just going to tell myself it was a fluke, brought on by end of summer stress.

Yeah, that's all it was.

LOL! I am having this very problem-only now I have so many, if I pull them out, I won't have many eyebrow hairs left. Thank goodness for fill ins with the eyebrow pencil.

My hair is 90% white, but I only have ONE white eyebrow hair. The rest are black so the white just kind of glows. I use MAC tinted eyebrow gel. Comes in a tube just like mascara. It also keeps them groomed. You know, so you don't end up with creepy grandpa brows.

This had better not be in my near future. I have still not come to ters with the grey hairs sprouting on my head.

just a warning, sometimes those scary unruly ones are quick growing as well. hubby has one that i want to pluck when he is sleeping. when i am seriously considering getting out of bed he rolls over. it's like that damn eyebrow hair can sense it and causes him tom roll over!

Age is just a number until the crazy silver eyebrows make an appearance. Not looking forward to that discovery. :(

eek! i'm at work and just felt a chin hair popping out....i dont have a fancy schmancy makeup mirror either and my belly is too big to get close enough to the mirror.....the challenge will be remembering to pluck since i'm working with 8% less brain function....

Well if it makes you feel any better, I am not yet 29 (birthday next week) and I have been plucking those little bastards out of my eyebrows for the past year and a half.

This does not bode well for my hair-color future.

Oh, no! I've been plucking my silver hairs since the first one appeared within days of having my first child (at the age of 24, which seemed way too young for grey hair to me). But grey eyebrows! I hadn't even considered such a thing.

Oh, the things I have to look forward to.

I had to stop plucking the gray hair -- otherwise early onset baldness would have had me! I'm knocking on 40 and now you have added a new fear to my list: freaky eyebrows!!! Dammit, just when I'd gotten used to dying my own hair now I have to ponder dying unruly eyebrows.... somebody fetch me a walker!

Once I turned 30 things started going downhill at an alarming speed!!
