I thought letting them watch Top Gun would afford me enough "free" time to actually get a load of laundry folded and put away without having to scold them for wrestling in the house.
I thought wrong.
Apparently the allure of Ice Man and Goose does not appeal to my kids.
Hmpf!

what??? how could it NOT? lol
Especially when Iceman does his "bite" at Mav in the locker room...isn't that better than Cartoon Network?
I don't know how to do links in comments, but you'll like this.

I love me some Top Gun.
Oh my god....
Take me to bed or lose me forever!
Thanks for the flashback!
How could they not like Top Gun? They don't know what they're missing. Growing up, I SO wanted to have a roomful of handsome pilots serenade me with "You've lost that Loving Feeling." Alas, it never has come to pass. Yet.
Not even Maverick?
You didn;t show them the volleyball scene? That always gets my full unwavering attention.
Oh my - the volleyball scene was enough to do me in ::rowr::
I feel the need for speed!
take my breath awaaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyy *boing boing, boing boing*
oh, i used to watch it at least once a week just for the volleyball scene!
Take them to the doctor... who could be distracted from the danger zone????
It's so sad when they don't appreciate the classics.
How could your boys NOT like it, aren't they the target market for that movie?
Ha- okay, maybe it's woman like us that made Top Gun so popular :)
(Singing the Top Gun tune) while writing.
Dog gone kids - you try to raise 'em right...
Oh the classics! Didn't they realize that movie was made BEFORE Tom went couch-jumping crazy?
What is wrong with them? UGH!
"Never leave your wing man"
I know it was the cruise factor, they were scared by his troll-ness.
Not like Top Gun?
What is in the kid's water in Seattle? ;) I love me some Top Gun.
whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaT? *snif* I saw that about 215 times in the theatre. I'd better start Ben watching it now....he WILL dig it. Mark my words. ;)
These kids today, *harumph!*
My first boyfriend used to watch that movie when we were talking on the phone and he would pretty much say the entire movie out loud because he had it memorized. I thought it was sooo cute for awhile and then it got old. So my memories of that movie aren't as fond as everyone else's.
Maybe they saw the Oprah episode and have declared Tom Cruise a loon. :)
