Minding My Own Business

There I sat, fingers busily tapping on the keyboard, mind elsewhere when I heard a "whoosh" from above my head.

"Mom, I think something fell down," Wyatt said from the kitchen above.

"Oh," my automated voice said.

He is a smart cookie, he knows that sometimes it is best to repeat things when mom is on the computer.

"Mom, there's something down there for you. I don't know where it came from, but you might want to look at it!"

Now he has my attention.

Did someone get hurt?

Did something break?

I look down at my feet and see the object he was talking about, taped with a piece of Scotch tape:

I opened it with great care and inside, I found this:

He will make one very special woman a very happy wife if he keeps this up.
