Aaaaaah, the turquoise water lapping gently on the sandy shore while the giant cruise ships bob like toys in a big, big bathtub. This is the life, I could sit here all day, while drinks are served in sweet pineapples by an attendant young man looking like a distant relative of Taye Diggs. Aaaaah.
"Wake up Mommy!"
"Why are you so tired Mommy? Didn't you have a fun weekend?"
Tired Mommy recalls the lack of sleep and a few glasses of wine coupled with copious amounts of carbohydrates as she raises her sleepy head off the pillow.
"Mommy, come on, get up."
She throws back the covers and steps into the welcome arms of her awaiting daughter. She remembers why she needed this weekend away, with just the girls, thousands of sheets of cardstock, tape runners, photos, eyelets, tags, die cuts, scissors, did I mention paper?
It may not have been a weekend spent sunning ourselves in the Caribbean, but it may as well have been (well, that COULD be a little stretch). It was my least productive scrapbooking weekend ever as far as the number of pages I got done (could have been the wine, no?), but it was by far the most relaxing.
No dishes.
No kids.
No husbands.
No cooking.
No headaches.
No worries.
Aaaaaaaaah, every girl needs a weekend like that once in a while!
