Moobs

Spring Break means that my kids are together A LOT more than we are all used to. Along with the constant in-your-faceness that they just can't seem to get along without, they are also experiencing some very sweet bonding moments.

Having the older boys home in the morning means that I can allow a teeny little bit of unsupervised morning cartoon watching as I enjoy not having to get up and pour bowls of cereal for them.

It also means conversations that I get to listen to and not be a part of. Yay for me!

As the morning wore on, I over heard Katie saying to McRae, "That guy has moobs!"

What? How the heck does she know what "moobs" are? I don't even call female breasts "boobs" in front of her so I am not to blame for this one. Do the boys use this term? Have I ever heard them say it?

I listen further. Wyatt is hysterical and I whisper to him, "What did she just say?"

"I can't tell you," he spurts . . . barely able to form the words.

"Did she just say moobs?" I ask.

His face curls into a question mark. Clearly he hasn't heard the term spoken by an adult, until now. Yay for me.

"What?"

"Never mind," I say and go into the living room where Spring Break Hilariousfest is in full force.

McRae is on the floor with his hand on his belly, laughing. Katie is jumping up and down in her nightgown in front of the television. The Jonas Brothers are on . . .

"That guy has MOVES!" she shouts, giggling like a mini-groupie.

So, um yeah, if you need to expose your children to obscenities just send them over to my house!

Way to go, Mommy! I've done that myself...assumed the worst and been proven wrong in the most humiliating way.

Glad the kids are enjoying their time off :)

That is hillarious. I mean moobs, moves, it could have easily happened to anyone. :)

Hahaha! And, when I first read this post's title in my reader... I saw the title as "Boobs"

It wasn't until I was reading through the thread that I realized it was "Moobs."

(I know, I know I am weird!)

well call me square, but I never heard the word moobs before now. But then again, I don't have small kids. But I did figure it out. :)

You have a cute blog.

I love, love, love listening to my girls interact. The places their imaginations take them...though they've not yet made it to moobs.

Um, I hope you will think this is as funny as I do, but Bryan calls the hair around his nipples "poobs." ;)
