Quiet Please

Groundbreaking Day for the New Fire Station

My view - my two worlds

This is why I will never forget. Each time he goes to work as an airport firefighter, each night he is away from his family. How can I forget?

September 11th is never going to pass without me remembering, without my children remembering, without the world remembering.

The incredible losses of that day will forever be a reminder of just how precious the lives of each and every one of us, everywhere, are.

It took me some time before it clicked in - today is September 11... I wonder if I will ever think of this day and the coverage and the loss and the bravery and the kindness and not cry... I doubt it.

How can someone not have the upmost respect for someone willing to run into a burning building?

Thanks to all who serve.

And this year - for the first time - I thought of your husband and his colleagues all over the world to whom we owe so much.
