Culinary Talents

It is beyond my current state of mind why I can't remember the simplest of recipes.

Why?

Why must I look up the recipe for Bisquick Impossible Cheeseburger Pie each and every time my family wants to eat it for dinner, but I can whip up a batch of chocolate chip cookies (which has tons more ingredients, btw) without looking at a single recipe?

Why?

Well, obviously because the cookies are yummier! (Not that there's anything wrong with cheeseburger pie)

I don't know why... but I find I have to look up simple stuff all of the time too!

I'll take that and raise you one. I have to call my mom every time I boil and egg and ask her how long it takes.

Aimee me too!

I can remember all the ingredients to a Buttermilk Pie that I make right now, but I have to get the recipe out when I'm making it. I think its recipe amnesia.

it's because chocolate is more memorable, of course

because recipe cards are retro and cute?

I'm the complete opposite. I've pulled out the same chocolate chip recipe ever since I was ten. You'd think I'd know it by heart now. NOPE.

Happy Friday.

you have no clue how happy it makes to know that I am not alone on this issue! My hubs is always amazed that I can not seem to remember a simple recipe....but I can’t. lol
I usually end up calling my mom or grandmother for help!
