Happy

I knew it!

I knew that if I complained about my eBay goods not making it to my doorstep in a timely manner, they would arrive the next day!

World domination is just around the corner, really.

But honestly, it was most likely all the love thrown out by the blogsphere that caused the brown-shorts-wearing UPS driver to turn into my cul-de-sac that fateful day and cause great merriment for our family.

Merriment for me because I replaced FOUR plates that had been broken from our place settings.

Merriment for Katie because not only did those plates arrive safely nestled in a sea of packing peanuts . . . but - wait for it - there was bubble wrap! Rolls and rolls of bubble wrap to pop and stomp on and squeeze and to wrap around one's body and declare oneself "a bubble princess"! Horray for the bubble wrap!

That alone, was worth the wait, and the $40.12 I spent on the plates (actually, quite a deal)!

I have a new post up for Kids and the City today. If you want advice on how to de-stress your kids, head on over!

Loved the comment about the bubble wrap...but your "Where did he go? question about your son...was so poignant. It brought me to tears...just thinking...my youngest son...sounds very like yours...and he only just married earlier this year. Where does the time go??? Colleen is South Africa

well worth the wait! I sent my niece and nephew a Halloween package, and my nephew called to thank me ... for the bubble wrap.

Could you kindly complain me up a new pint of Ben and Jerry's? And while you're at it, a car?

Great pic!
