This particular pease drum is on Whidbey Island, WA, in a little town called Langley. There are similar drums all over, though. I've seen them several times, although I can't for the life of me recall which culture this comes from . . . will get back to you. The beauty of the drum is that you can place your hands in the prints on the drum, feel the cool copper, and give it a twirl, it is breathtaking, really.

Yes.
Peace. And not at the expense and waste of so many young lives.
I am turning it like crazy in my mind.

This is so sad, but whenever I see those I can't help but think of Eddie Murphy in "The Golden Child"... (and how he rapped with one!)
Beautiful photos...
See Carrie? We're not alone. Peace, baby...
Those are gorgeous... where is that peace drum?
An amazing object/symbol that needs to be placed throughout the world. I've never heard about this, is there a story behind it? Where is it?
