Mama Told Me There'd Be Days (Nights) Like This

Yes, it is the approaching the hour when all the spooky stuff happens (have you seen The Exorcism of Emily Rose?) and I am awake because there is a SYMPHONY in my bed!! I can't understand why this is so bothersome to me, I've lived with snoring men most of my life, but here I am . . . awake at this ungodly hour with a mind that won't quit because there is such a racket happening next to me.

When I was a little girl, I remember being brought to tears in the middle of the night because I could hear my Dad snoring across the hall (sorry Dad, I do forgive you). I remember telling myself that my future husband would not snore, no matter what.

So what happened? History repeats itself and here I am many years later, finding myself awake because of a snorer! And not your garden variety type either, my Hubby can snore in ANY position. Snore on his back (well, that isn't a suprise, is it?), snore on his side (a little more rare but not shocking), snore on his stomach (this one perplexes the he** outta me, I mean who snores on their tummy? Oh yes, that guy over there does).

Could someone please pass the Nyquil?

Ah, yes, my man snores too. You'd think having them turn on their sides would help, but it doesn't. Worse yet, my 4 month old congested daughter snores! I am surrounded.

I've got a husband like that. How the hell do they snore on their stomachs?

Unfortunately, its gotten so bad that he rarely wakes up in the morning without any new bruises on his shins or along his ribs. :)

Oh, there have been times when I have seriously thought about smothering my lovely hubs... I have resorted to kicking him all night long... wife of the year!
